My feelings were all over the place…I was intrigued when I didn’t want to be, I was completely consumed by the hero’s dark and devilish spell he put me under, and my heart raced for the heroine, who holds an air of mystery and bold desire. I read scenes aloud to my husband and we both had our jaws hanging open from the dark details, and chills erupting from the sinister yet seductive desire that these characters invoke. But I just couldn’t stop turning the pages. There were many times while reading this story that I thought…I can’t finish this. My head was reeling, my thoughts were all over the place – I was disturbed, yet needed more I was completely invested in the hero and heroine, yet still was feeling conflicted about their dark relationship. I finished the last page last night and could not sleep. Reader be warned: this is a dark and steamy serial killer romance that will take you on a journey through the twisted mind of an artist on the brink of madness.Ī day later and I still feel like I cannot write a review that will do this book justice. A serial killer is, of course, the ultimate anti-hero - the baddest of the bad boys. I have always been fascinated by true crime, as well as by villains and anti-heroes.
